Though we had to postpone the Candy Cane Hunt last Friday because of the weather, we are pleased to announce the festivities are on tonight!
Today, Dec. 13, the festivities will begin around 6 p.m. in downtown Manasquan. The tree lighting ceremony is set for 6:20 p.m., and the Candy Cane Hunt will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m. Don’t forget — instead of Squan Plaza, candy canes will be given out on Main Street this year, near the intersection of Pearce Avenue and Manasquan Lighting.
Please bring a non-perishable item to donate to the Manasquan Food Pantry. Items will be collected in bins on Main Street.
We hope to see you tonight, and don’t forget to bundle up — it’s chilly out there!
A huge thanks to everyone who attended our Summer 2013 Cocktail Kickoff at Leggett’s yesterday!
Manasquan Tourism Commission Chairman Ray Summers called the event a “huge success.” After a great turnout for the beach’s ribbon-cutting ceremony at Inlet Beach — which local, county and state officials attended — many kept the celebration going at Leggett’s Sand Bar right down the road.
Hundreds of people attended the party, and the winner of our 50-50 took home more than $700.
